CEO DATELINE - Distilled Spirits Council unveils new logo, website

The Distilled Spirits Council has unveiled a new logo and website as part of an ongoing modernization effort by the 45-year-old organization.
The Distilled Spirits Council logo features a martini glass and shortens the name of the organization from its former title as the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States. The group also dropping the acronym DISCUS for just the "Council."
"The distilled spirits sector has achieved both record sales and exports, with eight consecutive years of market share growth," Council CEO Kraig Naasz said. "To celebrate this achievement, we are introducing a modern branding initiative that reflects consumer enthusiasm for spirits and celebrates the cocktail culture both domestically and around the globe."
The Council's was designed for regulators, policymakers, media and association members, according to the group. The site includes many lifestyle-focused features, such as information on the alcoholic beverages its members produce. distilledspirits.org
